Duties of Graduate Student Office
1- Investigation of acceptance capacity announcement forms of postgraduate and PhD students and International unit of the University (Qeshm).
2- Conducting the academic corresponding of graduate student of 12-departments of the college after acceptance; and forming their documents until graduation.
3- Supervision on well holding of academic-research affairs of graduate students according to the laws and by-laws of the university.
4- Investigation of applications for being guest, transferring, giving up the university, emergency elimination and extending scholarship, in the graduate student council and sending the documents of the qualified ones to the general office of the graduate studies.
5- Issuing student certifications.
6- Notifying the students before being conditional or being expelled
7- Proposing the constructive suggestions for promoting the qualities of by-laws and procedures of graduate studies, and sending them to graduate student council.
8- Cooperating and supervising on defense sessions of dissertations and thesis and choosing deputies and referees from in and out of the university and issuing invitation letters.
9- Investigation of the forms related to establishment and extending new inter-disciplinary majors and branches in graduate student council.
10- Holing graduate student council every two week and if necessary, every week; approving research projects, dissertations and defended thesis, applications for scholarship and sabbatical leave.
11- Supervision on well holding of PhD and comprehensive exams.
12- Supervision on expenditure of funds and credits of the graduate student divisions of the college and departments.
13- Sending regular final reports of postgraduate and PhD students' thesis that are supported by technology council of the province to the office of vise president for research, and supervision on their special research budget (grant).
14- Investigation of contract forms of students' job in departments and pursuing their payment through accounting office of the college.
15- Sending educational promotion reports of PhD students to the scholarship organization.
16- Approving student research projects of international unit of the university (Qeshm) in graduate student council of the college.
17-Coordinating with director of graduate studies, academic associate-Dean, office of registrar and administrative staff in all academic affairs.
