Even though the center of demographic studies of shiraz university has been successful in absorbing research finances from the university, and also from some re gional administrative organization by per forming joint projects, But still on the base of it’s duties, it has to extent it’s activities, which consequently increasesit’s need for more facilities. Past experiences has shown The obility of this center in communicating with research centers both at international and internal level. These communications have finally leaded in several co- operative researches with administrative organizations. Now for operationalizing the above mentioned cluties, the future programs of this center should follow as:

1)Designing and conducting workshops for introduction of available demographic software packaqes in Iran.

2Introduction of necessarg subjects for establishing a postgraduate discipline, for training research specialists in socio- economic demography.

3)Communicating with population research centers at international level by designing and performing joint researches and workshops.

4)Supplging the library of the center with demographic journals. A duty which has been interrupted due to lack of foreign carrenies since eight years ago.

5)Mobilizing The center with new demographic software packages and establishing a computer laboratory for related workshop trainings.

6)Organizing The second international conference about demographic problems in Iran (the first conference was held on 1994 by this center).

7)To prepare the conditions of seientific tours, for the members of the center’s faculty. So that they can participate in demographic workshops at international level these workshops help them. to get acquainted and being in communication with such centers in accordance with the third orticle.

8)Reciforcement of communication between the center and other state research centers, by means of electronic networkes, collaborative resarches, workshops and conferences dealing with different socio-economic problems of population in Iran.

 

 

1)Mobilizing the computer laboratory with 12 computers and printers, needing a proper place with at least one expert professional in soft and hardware of computer.

2)Allocation of 1000/000/000 Rls for organizing three research workshops with the aim of practicing new demographic softwares.

3)Allocation of 500/000/000 Rls for shortterm scientific tours in aceordance with the tourth and seventh articles.

4)Allocation of 2000/000/000 Rls for renewing the journals of the library.

5)Imployment of 5 faculty members, all with Ph.D degree in the fields of demography, mass sociology and socio- economic demography

6)Imployment of 2 post graduate experts and one active expert in the fields of statistics, computer and sociological research, being well versed in enghish.
